Release Notes - 9/21/2012
It’s been 2 weeks since we started sending invites to those who signed up to get an early taste of Offerchat. We’ve been getting great feedback from our users and we take them really seriously. Here are the updates that we did, all for making Offerchat better for you guys!
Updates (as of 9/21/2012):
Feature:
* Leave a Message Form - due to immense public demand, we want back to our coding board immediately after our Alpha release to build the leave a message form. So now when you are offline, your chat widget will no longer just disappear. Instead, we will display a form that your visitors can use to leave questions or feedback.
* “Is Typing” - it’s exactly what the title says, when an agent is typing on the control panel the visitor sees “is typing..” on the widget and vice versa. This is a staple feature on any popular IM tool, and we have all the intentions to be a part of that group.
* Visitor’s Location (Region and Country) - this is especially helpful to websites targeting a local market. This information will help you focus your efforts more on those visitors that belong to your target region.
Major Fixes:
* A change on the script that users install on their website. Fixes conflicting jQuery versions.
Existing users should receive an email with instructions on how to change them.
Minor Fixes:
* (Widget) Your visitors can now see if you’re typing a message. (yay!)
* (Control Panel) Your browser tab will blink whenever you get a new message
* (Control Panel) We fixed the layout the bug that causes long URLs to go beyond the border of the visitor’s info pane.
* (Widget) We fixed the bug that causes the widget to display (null)
That’s about it guys. Watch out as we continuously add more features to Offerchat as the days progress. Keep those feedback coming.
