Release Notes - 10/16/2012
Time flies… we just finished our fourth sprint and now we’re heading to our fifth. It’s amazing how quickly time flies when you’re having fun.
These are the things that have kept us busy these past 3 weeks.
Customize Theme
One of the feature requests that we’ve been getting from our early adopters is the ability to change the look and feel of the widget. As users of Offerchat, we feel this problem as well. So in our recently closed sprint, Customization was a top priority. As of today, Offerchat now allows its users to customize the theme of their widget – change color, headline text, etc.
Timer
Allows chat agents to know how long you’ve been chatting with a visitor. This small feature comes handy when you want to keep your average handling time in check.
New Message Counter
Allows chat agents to know how many new messages just came in.
Notification on The Chat Widget
Allows visitors to see a visual notification on the browser tab when a new message from the chat agent comes in.
Modify Leave A Message Form
Allows Administrators to change the theme and headline text of the leave a message form.
Bugs
* Fixed some bugs that causes chat messages to get erased when the control panel is refreshed
* Fixed a bug that causes the chat widget to get out of sync with the control panel when multiple tabs are opened
* Predefined saved responses are now accessible to accounts created before the deployment of the Saved Response module
* Fixed a bug that automatically sends a selected saved response to the visitor. Now it just appears on the chat box of the agent, ready for edit.
And as I’ve been saying, majority of these fixes and implementations were feedback we got from our users. If you have any comments or suggestions, chat with us or send us a quick email at support[at]offerchat[dot]com.
